Oporto Golf Club
This course is located 17 kilometers to the south of Oporto beside the beautiful beaches of Espinho. It is, after Pan, in France, the second oldest course in Continental Europe. It was established in 1890, when British residents in Porto created the club. The course is a par 71, 5,668 metres long, beginning with a par 4 against the famous nortada, the prevailing north wind, which makes it rather difficult. The approach to the green, which is narrow and doubletiered, turns this first hole into an excellent test for any player. The famous Espinho Golf Week, during which the famous Skeffington, Kendell and Dockery cups are played, is an ex-libris of Portuguese golf.

Amarante Golf Course
This golf course is located within the Quinta da Deveza, near Amarante, where tradition and magnificent landscapes and scenery abound, in particular, the River Tamega and the Mountain of Marão. Despite rising to 600 meters above sea level, most of the 18 holes offer players a gentle game, because the architect managed to limit the climbs to a minimum. It is a narrow, winding hilly course, calling for great accuracy, particularly at the bunkers protecting the greens and at the lakes that are brought into play at holes number 3, 8, 12 and 17. The course cannot be classified as difficult although it does have excellent and fast greens, the majority of which are short in length.

Along its fairways the golfer will discover wonderful panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and its beaches, for some of its tees are placed atop sand dunes. The course was designed by Frank Gordon and Artur Mariani Jr. It is a par 70 – 35 for each of the two nine-hole rounds and it has some holes that deserve a special reference. For example, the par 3 second with its split-level green and hole number 9, a par 4 of exceptional class for its length, the difficulty of the out-of-bounds to the right and wood to the left, as well as a fast green defended by a bunker in front and another one behind.

Estela Golf Course
The Estela Golf course is a true links, located in a magnificent area with 1st class commodities and with a climate cooled by the Atlantic breeze in summer and warmed by the Gulf stream in winter. The type of grass used, “Tifton Bermuda” in the fairways and “Penncross Bent” in the greens, contributes to create excellent game conditions with good fairways and greens that are both firm and fast. Since the back tees, the Estela stretches over almost 6,300 meters (7,000 yards), with a par of 72, a 72.7 Course Rating and a 131 Slope Rating. Judging from these tees, this is not a course for those who have difficulties with the driver! With narrow fairways in the landing areas, all pressure is placed in the tee shot. There are few fairway bunkers in the course, simply because they are not needed. If you fail a fairway at Estela, the dunes will welcome you.
