Day 1 – Arrival at Lisbon airport. Group met and assisted by our guide. Transfer from the airport to the hotel by a deluxe bus. Dinner and overnight in Lisbon.

Day 2 – Today the tour begins enjoying the magnificent view over the city before arriving to the lower part of town Baixa, with its main squares Restauradores, Rossio and Comércio Square. The visit continues towards Belém, where we can admire the Belém Tower and the Monument of the Discoveries, including a visit to Jerónimos Monastery and the Coach Museum (both closed on Mondays, replaced by Ajuda Palace). Free time for lunch at Expo. In the afternoon we will visit the S. Jorge Castle, the Cathedral and Alfama, the old part of Lisbon. In the evening dinner at restaurant where you will listen Fado music and Folklore. Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 3 – The tour will start by driving through Arrábida Natural Park, a beautiful protected area covered with pines and rich Mediterranean vegetation including many rare species. Near Arrábida lays the sleepy but prosperous agricultural village of Azeitão, known for its red wine and with some of the finest Quintas in the country. On the edge of town is the Fonseca Winery, where visitors can sample some of Portugal’s best red table wines and see its assembly-line production. Next stop it will be Sesimbra village where you can admire the beautiful scenery of this fisherman’s village. Free time for lunch. On your way to Évora you will pass by Setúbal – village with pedestrian streets, gardens and interesting shops. Stop at Pousada do Castelo in Palmela. Dinner and overnight in Évora.

Day 4 – In the morning you will visit Évora, including the Geraldo Square, St. Francis Church, Bones Chapel, the Roman Temple and the historic centre. Afterwards we will proceed to Herdade do Esporão. The group will visit the Estate and also have a wine tasting and lunch consisting of regional gastronomy. The tour will then proceed to Monsaraz, a beautiful medieval town which has succeeded in preserving its own distinctive characteristics over the centuries. Dinner and overnight in Évora.

Day 5 – Today the tour will start by visiting Estremoz, the largest of the Alentejo’s “marble towns”. The old, upper part of town is crowned by a castle erected in 1258, now converted into one of Portugal’s best Pousadas. Driving towards Borba we will visit a Cooperative Cellar (wine tasting is included). The town Vila Viçosa is mainly famous as a result of becoming in earlier times the favourite home of the House of the Duques de Bragança. Dominating Terreiro do Paço, a vast square, is the long marble façade of the three-story Royal Palace that belonged to the Bragança dynasty. In the afternoon return back to Évora. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Évora.

Day 6 – In the morning we will take you to Alqueva for a boat cruise. Alqueva is the biggest european artificial lake. Surround by little villages you will have the change to contact the popular people and know the costumes of one of the last explored areas in Portugal and for that reason, large areas around the lake are nature reserves (National Ecology Reserve). Afterwards return back to Lisbon. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Transfer from hotel to Lisbon airport to take the plane back home.
