Day 1 – Arrival at Porto airport and pick up the car. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Porto.

Day 2 – Your trip today to Figueira Castelo Rodrigo drives you through a landscape speckled with granite houses with wooden or wrought iron balconies, entering the Port wine region – the Douro Valley – driving by of Amarante, a most for those on their way to the heart of Port wine production, Vila Real – 13th century town and Peso da Régua. Overnight in Figueira Castelo Rodrigo.

Day 3 – Morning free at leisure. Jipe trip to look at the Grifo (bird). It will take you to the interior of International Douro Natural Park, where you will visit national monuments, such as the Eagle Tower and St. Maria de Aguiar Convent. This trip includes also a watch bird from St. André Chapel where magnificent Grifos and Egypt vultures fly over the slopes of river Águeda. Overnight in Figueira Castelo Rodrigo.

Day 4 – Donkey ride of Mirandesa race. You will start the tour today by riding a donkey of Mirandesa race and taking a walk through the vineyards where you will see the best castes planted from which are produced the famous D’Aguiar wines. Time for lunch. In the afternoon you will continue the tour by jipe and by visiting the pictures of Vale do Côa Archaeological Park. Being in this place , makes you feel as if you were 30.000years before. You will have the opportunity before you arrive at Barca de Alva, an important fluvial touristic quay of Douro River, to pass by cultivated valleys with almond-trees, olive-trees and vineyards. Day 5 – Free day at your leisure. Take some of your free time and visit the surrounding areas. Overnight in Figueira Castelo Rodrigo.

Day 6 – We will start with a pedestrian walk that it will take you to a fantastic place called International Douro. A path built of nothing, where stones and rocky structures shows up as if human hand has made them. On this track you can find dove-houses and anthropomorphic graves holed on black schist. Hereby we tell the legend of the “Calçada do Diabo”. Time for lunch. The tour will continue by driving through valleys and mounts where you can see cultivation of almond and olive trees until Barca de Alva village. This village is an important fluvial touristic quay of river Douro. On Candedo road we will pass by Ribeira do Mosteiro and we will climb up to Penedo Durão where majestic kind of vultures and Egypt vultures flies and at the same time we can look down to the Saucelle dam and have a glance over the Salamanca province. Overnight in Figueira Castelo Rodrigo.

Day 7 – In the morning return to Porto, but not without stopping in Viseu, the city of warriors and painters and Aveiro known by the city of canals and for its beautiful beaches.

Day 8 – Morning free at your leisure. Departure to the airport to take the plane back home.
